New Gear Go-Thru episode is live
20 Watt Tombstone is just two guys, but you’d never guess it by the monstrous freight train of sound guitarist Tom Jordan pushes out through his 1200-watt rig. These guys were in town last weekend - obviously we wouldn’t miss the show - and Tom gave us a rundown of the gear powering their unique brand of noise, stoner rock and death blues.
WAMI Holiday Party
When we interviewed Milwaukee Metal Fest founder Jack Koshick, he told us the name of his autobiography was I’m Jack F**king Koshick and Chicks Dig Me, Damn It.
Well, last week at the WAMI (Wisconsin Area Music Industry) Holiday Party, we discovered that to be accurate, as you can see for yourself in the photo above.
Also, the party was great, with good music, amazing people, and a killer venue - Paulie’s Pub and Eatery. The pizza…the tacos… *chef’s kiss* Thanks, Paulie!
We met and interviewed the people behind WAMI who make it all happen, as well as some unexpected surprises like artist Jackie Brown of Driving Miss Crazy, Carrie of Metal Chick Podcast, and Milwaukee radio personality K.B.
And yes, of course we got them to answer the Questions of Doom!

What’s Coming Up
We’re shooting the next episode of Sonic Seedpod this weekend with prolific singer/songwriter Andrew David Weber. In preparation, we’ve been making some upgrades to the studio, including new lights and a new cine lens. We also painted the ceiling black because the white just wasn’t VOYD enough.
